with Marisa and Fran I never stop travelling, and in Buenos Aires we only spent a few days. They have a fair every year in Bolivia, so
there we went, almost after coming back from Uruguay. We went directly to Cochabamba as soon as we could since here in south america
there are problems, mainly social and economical and there are often strikes and road blocks that end up affecting everybody. The governments of these
countries take a long time to solve problems and basic demands, and are often corrupt when it comes to working for those who voted them. A problem
in the countryside in Argentina and another one in Bolivia related to fuel made our trip much longer than expected. Usually the trip from Buenos Aires
to Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) takes 36 hours and then from there to Cochabamba a further 10 hours. But it took us 3 days!!!
Anyway, we finally reached the place and I loved Cochabamba, the climate, the landscape, the people... they call it the city of eternal spring and the city
of flowers since the climate and geography of the place makes it ideal for cultivating flowers and a lot of people earn a living out of it. Even if Boliva is
experiencing a big social crisis, as part of the country's territory want to break away and have autonomous governments, Cochabamba seems to leave these problems
aside, maybe due to its location between La Paz (the government siege) and Santa Cruz (main instigator of the region's separatism). But they are all well informed and
each one has their own opinion on these topics. The fair lasted 10 days but we did stay a few more days, enjoying the landscape and sharing time with our friends (Daisba,
Javier and Facu). The trip back was direct to Buenos Aires and here I am back to this magical city of which I already feel a part of it.
Greetings for all my friends that follow my trip, you'll soon get more news as that has always been the idea, never stop travelling around! See u! Aki.
Here are some pics of my days in Cochabamba!
